Mohr is an UGA student who suggested she that she enter into Miss Columbus 1985 pageant, took home the crown. This win made her eligible for to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr took home the title of Miss Georgia 1985 on 22nd June, 1985. Mohr was awarded more than $3500 in scholarships as well as other prizes in the state pageant.
